Founding Context

Why KCKA Was Created

KCKA was founded after a clear observation: rural communities in Uganda hold significant untapped football talent, but lack the infrastructure, licensed coaching systems, and scouting pathways available in larger cities.

The academy addresses this gap by creating a local high-standard development environment and linking players directly to FUFA club pathways and broader education/professional opportunities.

"Talent is universal, but opportunity is not." KCKA was built to close that opportunity gap for Kasenda and surrounding communities.

Needs Assessment

The Rural Barriers KCKA Is Solving

Unstructured Coaching

Many players are trained without a professional system, causing slower progression and greater injury risk.

Facility Gaps

Lack of maintained fields and training equipment limits consistency, safety, and quality of development.

Hidden Talent

Without structured scouting pathways, talented players often remain invisible to league and university opportunities.

Gender Inequality in Access

Girls in many communities still have limited access to formal football development, reducing long-term opportunities.
